In June 2023 Carolyn and I will have been married for 45 years – this time. We were married to each other for the first time for 6 years, but more about that later. I started playing music (drummer) in bands when I was in high school. As soon as I graduated Carolyn and I got married, and we went on the road playing music full-time in nightclubs all over the country. We moved to Dallas in 1969 and lived and worked out of there for seven years. My younger brother, Ron, moved to Dallas also, and we were in several bands together. As soon as I graduated Carolyn and I got married, and we went on the road playing music full-time in nightclubs all over the country. Inspired by the Beatles, he and I got heavily involved in Yoga and Hinduism and took
initiation from a very prominent Indian Guru. After being involved in that for a while, and still playing music, it became too much for Carolyn. Looking back on it, I like to say she had the good sense to divorce me. After Carolyn and I divorced, my brother and I quit the nightclubs and moved into a Yoga Ashram, living there for two years. We intended to become Hindu Monks and took pre-monastic vows, but the Lord Jesus had other plans – at least for me.
Five years after Carolyn and I were divorced, the Lord Jesus saved me in 1976. He then saved my son
David, who was nine years old, then He saved Carolyn, and brought us back together. We were
remarried, with my son serving as my best man. That’s not the way He works with everyone who’s been
divorced, but that's how he worked with us, and we praise Him for it. We have two adult children,
David, who is 55, and a daughter, Lisa, 42. Our granddaughter, Jenny, 33, is pregnant with her first child.
The Lord called me to preach, and I was ordained to the Christian ministry. I have been a Bi-vocational
pastor and evangelist for 37 years shepherding smaller, rural churches. I have been at Heselton Baptist
Church, Vanceburg, KY for the last eleven years. You can go to YouTube and search for “A Proven Faith,

in hearing more about my spiritual journey.
I have been an Ohio Licensed Social Worker for 31 years and am still working as a Home Care Case
Manager. In the year 2000, the Lord decided to make me a songwriter. I have had thirteen songs
recorded by Christian artists and groups and was a Regional Workshop Coordinator for the Nashville
Songwriters Association International (NSAI) for 13 years. You can learn more about my songwriting on
